These Behringers are rebuilt by Stephen Sank and are perfect for ribbon microphones as well as condensers and dynamics. Not only are these quiet as a mouse for low output ribbon microphones, but they have a very warm rich full tone for any application. These preamps are no longer Behringers when we are finished with them, the sound is very high end and professional. Our goal was to rebuild a preamp that was under $500, yet delivered the same great sound as preamps that cost $1500 and more. With a price of $325 plus shipping the Modded T1953 is the best value going as comparable sounding units start at $900 and go way up from there.
