But this one has been beautifully restored to like new condition externally and internally, with a fresh genuine RCA ribbon properly tuned by the RCA ribbon master Stephen Sank.

A properly serviced BK-5 is perhaps the best sounding microphone in history for guitar amps. It also shines on acoustic guitar, snare, percussion, and vocals. It also has better output than most ribbon mics, although lower than a condenser, making it a great choice for fingerpicked acoustic guitar and other quiet sound sources. However, BK-5's also have a great internal blast filer making it safe for high SPL's including bass amps, bass drum and other sources that ribbon mics usually cannot handle. It is a very tough and durable mic that will deliver amazing tone on any application.
