This is one of the sweetest microphones ever made. It is well known that the 77B's sound better than the 77dx's, it's a shame that they are so much harder to find than the plentiful dx versions. The 77B's have a longer double ribbon design than the 77D and 77DX. It's sound is somewhere between the 44bx and the 77dx, sort of the best of both worlds. It has that warm big ribbon sound that we have all come to love. It is particularly special for vocals and acoustic instruments. It is also killer for guitar cabs and as a room mic for drums.
